Cindy & Greg Wise have a combined 66 years of classroom experience.
Teaching children is one of their greatest joys.
They are excited to enter the world of
Virtual Learning and look forward
to sharing the love of learning with your children.

Cindy loves camping, nature, weaving,
all things art, chocolate, kids, and Jesus!
Cindy brings 30 years of elementary art school experience to the program.
She taught art in a dedicated art room,
on a cart, virtually during remote learning in 2020and is currently teaching art part time at a small Christian school

Greg loves all things Jesus and being outdoors!
Some of his favorite activities include studying the Scriptures, camping, nature,
kayaking, and sailing.
He loves the Eureka!
moment that comes with teaching kids.
Greg has a wealth of elementary school experience.
His career spanned 36 years and then continued with substitute teaching. Ten of his teaching years were as a K-5 Reading & Math Specialist before
heading back to the classroom.
His credentials include:
NC Environmental Educator
M.Ed, B.S.Ed. and M.Div

Why Island Art Gal?
Island Art Gal is a direct result of the founder, Cindy, having to teach art virtually in the spring of 2020. Her plan was to retire January 1, 2020 but the Lord had other plans! Unable to find a suitable art teacher replacement, Cindy was asked to finish out the school year. She agreed.
All was fine, the students were none the wiser and then
BAM - March 2020 and remote learning via video art activities became the norm for the remainder of her teaching career.
"Hey", thought Cindy, "this could be a thing".
The seed was planted.
Island Art Gal was birthed in the summer of 2021 and
online Art & Nature classes have become a reality!
