Cindy & Greg Wise

Cindy Wise

Robot Instructor

Radical Paper Robots has been a favorite project for decades! Each robot is unique and interesting. Perfect for all ages! More accomplished artists will take the project to his/her own level of awesomeness.
Cindy Wise has been teaching art to children for close to three decades. She retired from the Dare County Schools where she taught Elementary Art for 28 years. Two years post retirement, the Lord put Cindy back in the art classroom at a small Christian school. One day a week is just perfect!
Cindy founded Island Art Gal in 2021. The name comes from her island connections. She was born on an island in East Asia courtesy of the USAF. She currently lives, plays and creates on the Barrier Islands of the Outer Banks of NC.

Greg Wise

Writing Challenge
"Mr. Greg" issues a fun writing challenge for our young writers.  He encourages the Robot creators to think about  the Robot's story - name, family, pets, living environment, activities, and so on!
Greg Wise  has over 30 years of elementary classroom experience.  Ten of those years were spent as a Reading/Math Instructor.  He has taught every age Kindergarten through 5th grade and has been known to substitute  in  Preschool! Greg has a lot of ideas and strategies to prime the pump for our emerging writers!
